There are few things more powerful than bringing together the best in the business to celebrate excellence, and that’s exactly what unfolded at the 2025 Master Plumbers Association of NSW Annual Industry Awards. Held on Friday 1 August at Waterview in Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park, the event brought together the plumbing industry’s finest for an unforgettable afternoon of connection, community and accomplishment.

As guests and proud sponsors of this premier industry event, the team at New South Lawyers would like to extend our sincere thanks to the incredible organisers who made us feel so welcome, particularly Jeanette Nakhoul, Operations Manager; Nathaniel Smith, Chief Executive Officer; and Luke Tabone, Chief Operating Officer. Their passion for the industry and dedication to recognising the achievements of its members were on full display throughout the afternoon.

Hosted by the ever-charismatic Rob Shehadie, the event was equal parts awards ceremony, and celebration of craftsmanship, innovation and resilience. From the coveted Gold Medal Apprentice of the Year to categories like Innovation, Commercial and Domestic Projects, Work Health and Safety, and Master Plumber of the Year, each award shone a light on the talent and hard work that continues to shape the future of plumbing in NSW.

With a proud history dating back to a meeting in 1895 at the Sydney Institute of Sanitary and Engineering Technology, the Master Plumbers Association of NSW has long been a force for progress. Originally established as Australia’s first plumbing trade association, this ‘union of employers’ has evolved into a vital advocate and support network for plumbers across the state. Today, Master Plumbers NSW continues to protect and promote the profession through policy work, representation, expert training, business advice and essential services for its members.

For New South Lawyers, it was an honour to be among such an esteemed group of professionals and tradespeople. As a firm that works closely with businesses across a range of sectors, we deeply understand the importance of legal support in helping trades like plumbing thrive. Whether it's navigating regulations, managing contracts, or future-proofing operations, the legal profession plays a critical role in strengthening the plumbing industry’s foundations.

Our presence at the 2025 Annual Industry Awards reflects not only our respect for the industry but our eagerness to continue building partnerships that empower businesses and protect their futures. We’re committed to supporting the people who keep our cities running - often behind the scenes - with professionalism, integrity and legal expertise.

Congratulations to all the award winners and nominees who were recognised for their outstanding contributions. The spirit of excellence and community that filled the room was a testament to the strength of the plumbing profession in NSW. We look forward to deepening our collaboration with the Master Plumbers Association of NSW and continuing to support this vital industry in the years to come.
