As a former barrister with 26 years of professional legal experience, New South Lawyers’ Head of Litigation Dragan brings over two decades of expertise in advocacy, corporate, commercial, civil and criminal law to the New South Lawyers firm.

An empowering leader with extensive internal and external stakeholder management, negotiation, legal, and business partnering experience influential in developing and executing strategies to achieve business goals, Dragan has achieved success in the profession, both nationally and abroad.

This has been attained through a range of roles including advisor and Special Counsel at a number of international law firms, a principal litigator at Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (an incorporated legal practice that is a wholly owned subsidiary of NSW Business Chamber), a senior associate in Dubai at the largest law firm in the Middle East, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of JudgeIt, a senior solicitor at Wesley Mission Community Legal Service and a Litigation support portal at Lawform Sherpa - designing and developing bespoke guided pathways for completing family law and civil litigation court forms.

Dragan has also demonstrated experience conducting and appearing in a number of civil matters across a range of jurisdictions - including the Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Supreme Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, Local Court of NSW, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT), Mental Health Review Tribunal, and Commissions of Inquiry.

His experience is extensive and includes acting in respect of partnership and shareholder disputes, breach of director duties, debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy, financial disputes and financial crime, property disputes including enforcement of mortgages and powers of sale, building and construction disputes, breach of contract and strata law.

Dragan has also been actively involved in a number of professional organisations, at various points in his career. This includes membership of the Australian Corporate Lawyers’ Association and associate membership of the Governance Institute of Australia. He currently holds an Unrestricted & Corporate Practising Certificate from the Law Society of NSW.
