Since joining the New South Lawyers team with a Bachelor in Social Science majoring in Criminology in 2018, Joanne has quickly risen through the ranks to associate. To date, she has worked on a diverse range of matters, such as a commercial dispute in the quantum of $100million, the purchase and sale of a multi-million dollar property for an Australian television identity, and acted on large-scale leasing matters for both the tenant and landlord - including on behalf of the owners of one of Sydney’s most prolific gymnasium businesses.
As a commercial lawyer, Joanne counts her greatest successes as those when the matter settles prior to being litigated and incurring unnecessary costs - a result that she has managed to regularly achieve via impeccable communication, a willingness to compromise if it is for the interest of the client, extraordinary time management skills, great attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the law.
